AHT is entering its 9th season of offering exceptional on-ice and off-ice programs mixed with high quality instruction for developing hockey players.
Each year we have a large number of returning participants, while always welcoming new participants and helping integrate them into our teams atmosphere.
During the years we have hosted players from across Western Canada, the USA and Europe. We strive to provide the healthiest environment possible for personal success. The skills acquired participating in team sport extend much further than the boundaries of the playing field.
All Programs will conclude with a Scrimmage in which Team White will battle Team Red for the Acres Challenge Cup!
Who is the program for?
AHT is geared towards the elite minded player who is looking to improve his overall game and take it to the next level.
We have 3 separate programs: Great Start Program (Initiation, ages 5-8) Foundation For Success (Atom-Minor Peewee, ages 9-11), Steps to Success (Major Peewee-Bantam, ages 12-14).
Training with AHT provides developing athletes an outstanding physical fitness base to build upon to withstand the rigors and demands placed upon your body during the long hockey season.
With continued self-maintenance and dedication to training the rewards of your work will be reaped all season.
What is Acres Hockey Training?
AHT continues to be a program with a strong belief in the importance of dryland training.
The Success Programs will have age appropriate dryland training sessions while the ice sessions will focus on the basic skills (skating, shooting, passing, stickhandling).
Free weight training, body weight training methods united with strength/stability/balance/quickness/agility skill development will be incorporated into the demanding daily off-ice training sessions, along with the daily cardio element.
Success is measured on a personal level and you only get out of training what you put into it!
Elite International Training Methods
AHT while expanding and attracting regional and international participants remains firm in the belief that smaller group sessions lead to greater player development and enjoyment.
Therefore each group has a limited number of spots available. Each participant is guaranteed personal instruction from Henry.
You are training with a coach who is making a living from hockey. These drills and training programs are put to the test every season by the man who runs the programs.
Henry knows what works to achieve desired results, the only question is do you have the drive to give yourself a head start on the competition????
