More Specialty Clinics to come in 2011
Henry is proud to offer a Specialty Clinic for Defencemen! This is a two day weekend clinic conducted in Parksville at Oceanside Place Arena to give defencemen of all ages and abilities a chance to learn from a professional defenceman on the ice and in the classroom.
Clinic Highlights
- how to play/control 1 on 1 situations all over the ice
- odd man rush situations-2 on 1, 3 on 1, 3 on 2
- 2 on 2, 3 on 3 rushes and in the defensive zone
- gap control-taking back ice
- controlling the front of the net
- partner support
- communication with goalie and fwds
- transitional play
- starting the breakout/making the "good" first pass
- shooting and offensive zone play-when to join the rush/pinch, etc.
- special teams play
- position specific skating drills
- personalized program-tell Henry what you want to improve/work on at registration!
