Elite On-Ice Program

Acres Hockey Training's On-Ice Program continues to evolve and improve each year!

Sunday-Thursday evenings of each week will consist of 1.5 hours of on-ice instruction per day!!!

We will implement team system play and responsibilities in the offensive, neutral, and defensive zones.

Game Speed Drills and Situations

The first half of each session will consist of the high tempo, intense, conditioning and skill drills that continue to push players worldwide to adapt and improve their abilities.

The latter portion of the ice training will consist of different game-type situations.

These ice sessions not only challenge and improve the skill set of the player but also involve the most important development of a hockey player, the brain!

The ability to read and react to the speed and situations of the game, especially with the "new" interpretation of the rules, makes positioning and "being a step ahead" of utmost importance.

All on-ice sessions will be conducted at Parksville's ice palace, Oceanside Place located at the north end of Wembley Mall.

Constructed in 2003 the facility consists of 2-NHL sized ice sufaces, skate shop, and concessions.
