Acres Hockey Training and Henry are proud and excited to offer younger participants the Acres Hockey experience.
2010's camp takes place from July 27-31, 2010.
The Foundation for Success Program offers participants the building blocks for a strong future in hockey. These blocks are the basic skills needed to be successful on the ice: skating, shooting, passing, and stickhandling.
Mastery of this skill set will provide participants a strong foundation for their further hockey development. This program is for players in the Atom through Minor (1st year) Peewee age groupings.
Henry brings a unique perspective to training in that he is still a player at a high level. During the past 4 seasons he has combined playing with coaching while in Europe.
For the 2008-09 season with Kiekko-Vantaa in Finland's Mestis League and also being involved with player development in Finland, as a coaching consultant with Tuuski Hockey, working with all coaches and players in that organization.
In 2006-07, with Arborga IFK in Sweden he was Assistant Program leader for the Hockey Gymnasium, working with the city's top high school aged players.
During the 2007-08 season he was a guest instructor with Asploven HC's teams from mites right up to the junior and womens programs. In 2009-10 Henry is back in Sweden playing and coaching with Asploven HC.
